Introduction to Polar Insulation
  • Thermal insulation is becoming an increasingly important part of construction performance. Modern building design call for materials if high insulation value, whilst being cost effective and without hazard to the environment.

  • The Polar Insulator offers the building designer an exceptionally aesthetically pleasing finish combined with good thermal insulation and light reflectance properties.

  • Polar roof insulation can be used in industrial, commercial, retail and residential applications or wherever is a need for an aesthetically pleasing finish aluminium foil lamintaed roof insulation material.

  • Polar Insulator is effective in a temperature range of -65°C to 80° C. The aluminium foil used in the manufacture of polar Insulator reflects up to 99% of the radiant heat it is exposed to, hereby drastically reducing the flow of heat to the interior of the building.
Physical Characterstics of Polar Insulation Non Reactive : Corrosion Resistance Non Absorbent : Non absorbent and proof against grease, oil, water and other liquids.
Material and Mechanical Properties of Polar Insulation Corrosion Resistance : The naturally occuring surface oxide on all aluminium in the presence of atmospheric oxygen acts as a shield and renders foil substantially corrosion resistant. Polar Insulator is also resistant to substances in the pH range 4 to 9.

Reflectivity :

Reflects approximately 99% of radiant heat and light. There is no difference between the reflectivity of a bright and a matte polar Insulator surface.

Thermal Conductivity (K) 0.0233 W/mk

Operating Temperature -65°c to 80°c
Thermal Properties of EPE with Thickness

Barrier Protection :

A Layer of Polar acts as a complete barrier against the penetration of light, moisture and flavours - so stopping contamination and the loss of organoleptic characterstics.

Heat Performance :

Polar Insulator withstands high temperatures without distorting or melting. It also conducts and dissipates heat quickly - ideal for heat - sealing processes.
