What is Biocell?

Biocell is the revolutionary new system of Sewerage Waste Recycling (SWR).It completely replaces the problematic conventional septic tank system.

Biocell is a 100% natural purification system that recycles toilet waste effluent and releases odourless water that is clean enough to be channeled into the public drainage system or water the garden

Biocell is the new, clean, safe and environmentally friendly method of the future .It is a revolutionary new development for the construction industry.

What are the advantages of Biocell over ordinary septic tanks?

The super-strength plastishell exterior is 100% leakage and breakage proof and resists penetration by tree roots.

No contamination of surrounding soil and groundwater.Sinc the tank is completely closed, you can dig wells at very close proximity.

Saves construction time.Biocell units are prefabricated. They only need to be placed in the ground and connected.

Reduces conventional space utilization. Concrete septic tanks and soakage pits require a large area. Biocell is compact and saves space.

Prevents waterborne diseases and other health hazards caused by contamination of groundwater. The bacteria, protozoa and viruses in toilet wastewater causes gastrointestinal illnesses such as;cholera,hepatitis-A,and typhoid Nitrates from urine, faeces, food waste and cleaning compounds in wastewater cause Methemoglobinemia(blue baby syndrome).

Since Biocell units are completely closed, they prevent breeding of mosquitoes, flies and other insects that spread disease.

How does Biocell work?

Type A:Single Unit Tanks(for homes and small offices, etc.)

The inside of these Biocell tanks is divided into two compartments. The inlet pipe is connected to the part where the solids get collected and the outlet pipe is connected to the filtration side.

When raw toilet waste flows into the tank, the solids sink to the bottom and the effluent flows unidirectonally into the filtration side.(Accumulated solid deposits can be suctioned out every 6-7 years by the ordinary septic tank clearing service provided by the municipality)

The filtration side of the tank is partially filled with special objects called media. These objects float on top of the water and provide a living area for anaerobic bacteria.Good ventilation is allowed into the tank through the vent hole. When the effluent passes through the media, the bacteria digest any solid particles, effectively improving the quality of the water that is eventually released through the outlet of the tank.

Type B:Heavy Duty Tanks(for apartment complexes,restaurants,hotels,etc.)

These comprise of three Biocell tanks that perform separate functions and operate as a system. These are the Grease &Oil Trap Tank,Sewerage Collection Tank and the Anaerobic filter Tank.

As shown in the diagram:

wastewater from sinks and washbasins flow into the Grease & Oil Trap Tank and then into the Anaerobic Filter Tank where the effluent is recycled before being released into the public drainage system.

Toilet waste flows into the Sewerage Collection Tank and then into the Anaerobic Filter Tank where the effluent is recycled before being let into the public drainage system.
